About this list

Peter Evans has kindly provided this list of row boats. This isn't a list of free boat plans, but a list of boats, with links to sites where the plans can be had. Some are free BTW. Length, width and website link for each rowboat are included. There are over 500 different rowboats on this list. Please note it is not easy to find the borderline between a rowing boat that can be sailed, and a sailboat that can in theory be rowed. There may be a few on this list that really should be omitted and I'll whittle them down as I get through the list.

Dimensions
Dimensions are in feet and inches. Example; a width of 3.10 means a width of 3 feet and 10 inches.

Omissions
Many worthy boats have no doubt been omitted. Note that I have linked to boat builders, this was mainly done for example purposes. Don't forget that your local boatbuilder could build a similar boat if asked. The list is not perfect, but I think it is a pretty good start.

Utility
Hopefully having a list of a very large number of rowboats will assist potential boat builders in knowing what boats are out there. Hopefully this list will get added to and become truly comprehensive.
